WHS will hold a Women’s Seder in 2023 using our own Haggadah. Would you like to help write our Haggadah? We’d love your input. We’ll meet via Zoom in spring and summer of 2022. Contact: June and Joanna womenofharshalom@gmail.com
We are seeking Har Shalom women who would like to get involved in short-term projects or leadership positions. Please consider participating in any way you like. We are a growing and dynamic organization and value all new ideas. womenofharshalom@gmail.com
By participating in this event, we can make a difference in our shared goal of eradicating cancer from this earth. Every dollar makes a difference. With 100% of every donation going to advance the mission of HCI, you can be a reason to hope for current patients, families, and future generations to come.
On this special day, hit the slopes with a donation to Huntsman Cancer Institute and join our cancer-fighting community and the inspiring atmosphere that is Park City PowderFest. The day on the mountain is dedicated to conquering more than just the slopes and having fun, but also conquering cancer by supporting the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI).
We welcome you to join one of our small Rosh Chodesh groups. We meet most months for about 1 hour (outdoors group is a bit longer). What is Rosh Chodesh? Rosh Chodesh, the first day of the beginning of each lunar month in the Jewish calendar and has blossomed into a celebration of women and femininity. Each month, when the new moon starts to crescent, members of Women of Har Shalom gather in small groups to reflect on various Jewish pillars of interest. The Rosh Chodesh groups are: Jewish Spirituality, Women in the Bible, Jewish Culture and Ritual, Modern Jewish Women, and Outdoor Activities.
To date, WHS members have marked the 'head of the month' with larger gatherings when our small groups join together. These include lawn yoga at THS and a garden showcase to honor the month of Av, a discussion of Jewish women in the early years of the United States, a glorious hike in town, as well as a discussion covering the very difficult and emotional subject of grief and shiva. Contact Sherri at womenofharshalom@gmail.com to join one of the groups.
